In the heart of the Allier, in the commune of Meillard, Domaine de Bellevue has been home to its 22-hectare vineyard since 1920.
Traditional family know-how and an unconditional passion for viticulture bring out the very best of Saint-Pourçain DPO wine, one of the most secret of the Loire appellations d’origine contrôlée.

The vineyard

You can’t make good wine without good grapes.

Half our vines are over 30 years old.

Our vineyards benefit from 2 types of soil, granitic at Meillard and Bourbonnais sand and gravel at Chatel-de-Neuvre.

These different types of soil provide precious micro-elements that give our wines their richness and authenticity.

The wine reflects the personality and creativity of the winemaker. Mélanie Pfeffer, our Cellar Master, has a degree in viticulture and oenology. Thanks to her experience in the renowned vineyards of Bordeaux and Provence, she has acquired a rich and unique know-how. With passion and creativity, his work blends respect for tradition with sustainable practices.
