Bonnezeaux is an Appellation d’Origine Protégée wine made from Chenin grapes.
This is a great sweet wine harvested by sorting the grapes on a schist terroir.
Partial vinification in barrels and the blending of the different grape varieties give this cuvée great aromatic persistence, with echoes of very ripe quince and stewed apricot.
Bonnezeaux excels as an aperitif, and goes well with foie gras, scallops, blue cheese, goat’s cheese and dark chocolate.

FEATURES :
Grape variety: 100% Chenin
Terroir : Purple schist, blue schist, phtanite and clay.
Caractéristiques : Vinified in French oak barrels. Intense golden yellow colour. Extraordinary aromatic complexity, combining echoes of very ripe quince, stewed apricot, caramel and exotic fruit. Volume and good length on the palate.
Food & wine pairing : Excellent as an aperitif. With foie gras, scallops, goat’s cheeses, blue cheeses, pear and almond cakes. Rillettes Tourangelles / Rillons salad / Goat’s cheese tart – artichoke & tomato / Beetroot – Feta salad / Grilled herring with mustard sauce
Temperature: Serve chilled (around 10°C)
Maturity: A wine for laying down, to be enjoyed between 3 and 8 years in bottle.
